Schuyler Place Garage Access Closed Through July 6

The Morristown Parking Authority project limits Schuyler-side vehicle and pedestrian access, but the garage remains open through the Bank Street entrance and exit.

MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Schuyler Place entrance and exit to the Ann/Bank Garage in Morristown are temporarily closed for concrete repairs and protective sealing work, according to a June 29 Morris County notice citing the Morristown Parking Authority. The garage remains open through the Bank Street entrance and exit during the project.

The Schuyler Place exit closed at 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, and the Schuyler Place entrance closed at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 30. Both are expected to reopen at 6 a.m. Monday, July 6, weather permitting.

Vehicles may continue using the garage through Bank Street while the Schuyler Place access point is closed. Pedestrian access through Schuyler Place was available until 6 p.m. June 30; after that time, pedestrians were directed to use the stair tower at Ann Street and Bank Street or the Bank Street stair tower.

The project also affects nearby short-term retail parking. The two-hour retail parking spaces next to Schuyler Place are unavailable from June 30 through July 5. Temporary retail customer parking is available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Ann Street Senior Center in designated spaces for Mindy’s Munchies and Kirshenbaum Baking Co. customers. Additional retail parking is available at the Dalton Garage on Cattano Avenue.

Customers using Dalton Garage can receive parking validation from participating businesses, including Mindy’s Munchies, The Grand Cafe and Kirshenbaum Baking Co., according to the notice. Anyone who needs help locating a vehicle can contact the Morristown Parking Authority at 973-828-5330, available 24 hours a day.

Drivers should use the Bank Street entrance and exit until the Schuyler Place side reopens.
