MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – Morris County began stormwater infrastructure mapping along county roadways in Mount Olive Township on Friday, May 22, with field teams collecting GPS data on county-owned stormwater assets, including storm drains, catch basins and outfall pipes. The work is being conducted by Aqualis on behalf of the county to meet requirements under the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Highway Agency Permit.

The county said the field team will include one company-marked vehicle and two personnel, with additional traffic control measures used as needed. Data collection is scheduled between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. and is expected to take three to five days.

Motorists may encounter a slow-moving vehicle or workers on foot along county roads. Morris County urged drivers to use caution when passing the field team. Residents with questions can contact the Morris County Division of Engineering and Transportation at 973-285-6751.
