The ordinances introduced June 25 would regulate grease interceptors, allow craft alcohol manufacturing in an industrial district and fund pedestrian crossing improvements and police equipment.
RANDOLPH, NJ – Randolph Township has scheduled Thursday, July 23, 2026, public hearings on several ordinances introduced June 25, including new sewer rules for grease interceptors, a land-use change for craft alcohol manufacturing and a $72,000 capital appropriation for pedestrian and police-related improvements.
The hearings are scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Randolph Municipal Building, 502 Millbrook Avenue. Residents and interested parties will have an opportunity to be heard before the governing body considers the ordinances for second reading and final passage.
Ordinance No. 17-26 would amend the township’s sewer rules and fee schedule to establish rules, regulations and standards for grease interceptors. According to the township notice, the purpose is to support proper maintenance, operation and longevity of sanitary sewers and to protect the environment. The ordinance would also establish grease interceptor registration fees.
Ordinance No. 18-26 would amend the township’s land development ordinance to make the craft manufacture of alcoholic beverages a permitted use in the I-1 Industrial District.
Ordinance No. 19-26 would appropriate $72,000 from the Capital Improvement Fund for Harvey Terrace pedestrian crossing improvements and the purchase of conducted energy devices for the Randolph Police Department.
The township also posted notice that Ordinance No. 16-26, amending parts of Chapter 6 related to bingo and raffle licenses, was finally passed at the June 25 meeting and approved by the mayor.
