Randolph Water Main Projects Will Cause Road Closures Through Summer

Randolph Water Main Projects Cause Pleasant Hill Road and Millbrook Avenue Closures Through Summer 2026. The work begins June 12 and will bring posted detours, limited driveway access and daytime closures during separate water main replacement projects.

RANDOLPH, NJ – Two water main replacement projects are scheduled to begin in Randolph on Friday, June 12, bringing full closures to portions of Pleasant Hill Road and Millbrook Avenue while crews replace aging water infrastructure.

The Pleasant Hill Road project is scheduled to run through August 31, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Millbrook Avenue project is scheduled to run through July 17, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On Pleasant Hill Road, a Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority contractor will install a 12-inch ductile iron water main to replace part of an existing 24-inch pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe water main between Mel Drive and Spring Brook Drive. The project also includes repaving previous project areas on Pleasant Hill Road from Marre Drive to just east of Park Avenue.

That work will require a full closure of the affected section of Pleasant Hill Road, with posted detours. Properties within the work area will have limited vehicle access to driveways during construction.

On Millbrook Avenue, Randolph Water & Sewer and Department of Public Works staff will replace part of an existing 12-inch ductile iron water main along the frontage of 630 Millbrook Avenue, near Freedom Park.

The Millbrook Avenue work will require a full closure between Schoolhouse Road and Carrell Road. The driveway to Freedom Park will remain open through access from Carrell Road to Millbrook Avenue, but access to the Township Museum building will be limited.

Randolph officials said the access restrictions are needed to install the water mains properly, prevent vehicle damage and keep crews safe during construction. Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes while work is underway.
